My name is Dancie WarnerShook and I am the owner and founder of The Minded Christopagan. This business was made to share not only information about being a Christopagan but also how to use a Cricut and start your own business. I took a niche market and made it into a business that I could profit from. This market includes selling items to host a ritual, prayer candles, t-shirts, signs, and anything to display on our alter.
What is a Christopagan? A Christopagan combines the religions of Christianity and Paganism. If you want to know more about that then just type into the search box at the top of the blog page "What is a Christopagan?" and you will find a blog post I have written that talks all about it.
I am 26 years (soon to be 27) old and love spending time with my family the most. I live in California but my husband and I would eventually like to move to Indiana so we are saving up for that. Our weekends are usually spent at a sprint car track. We try to attend as many races as we can. My goal with this business is for it to become my main source of income. Being my own boss has always been a goal of mine.
Where did the name for the business come from? This is a great question that I get very often. Upon wanting to start this business the first place I took inspiration from was Etsy. I started looking at the names that other people had for their business. There was one thing that I noticed in a lot of the names; they either had the word creations, designs, crafts, or company in them. This made me want to divert from using such words. I first knew I wanted to use the word Christopagan because I wanted my religions to influence how I thought about the business and the designs that I came up with. Being both Christian and Pagan the ideals and beliefs from each of those religions influence me greatly. Since ideas come from the mind I wanted to use the word mind. I came up with the idea of using the word minded because I originally thought it meant an idea being thought up. After searching the definition of the word I found out it meant that you are inclined to think in a certain way. The Minded Christopagan means I am inclined to think the way that I do because of my views from being a Christopagan. Thus, The Minded Chrisopagan was born!
